Ocean Spirit

This painting was inspired by my participation
in an art exhibition at the South Beach Marina
during the International Billfish Tournament.
At the time, my work was entirely focused on
plants, flowers, terra firma subjects.
I felt out of place unless I could show something
that related to the main event.

Needless to say, my muse didn't let me down!
Since then, I've had the fantastic pleasure of
sailing on a friend's catamaran, snorkeling at
several of the reefs around Key Largo and
visiting the manatees along the Miami River
as often as possible when I get myself
out of the studio!
